I want to record some vocals over my sp1200 beats, can anyone tell me if i can us a zoom mrs802 multitracker to do this?

It looks cool but you're only getting two inputs at the same time. Ideally you'd want 8 for the SP, 2 (or an rca) for the DJ and an XLR and possibly with phantom power but 8 would be workable. Otherwise it's gonna be a bitch to have to play your whole song 4 times just to get it all in the machine. If that's not a concern or you don't want to mix/eq/effect your channels anyway then any little multitracker with a cd burner should work fine. I think another thing to look at when looking at multitracker features is what the file format is of the data and how do you get it off the machine. wav would be ideal if you want to get your shit mixed later. |

Thank you for the quick reply and informative words, my brain feels more capable now and i think you have helped me make my decision.
Im very unco-ordinated with all this recording stuff but im hoping that this will teach me a few basic things and this is all i require at the moment. Even just to record some rhymes over some instrumentals i have on cd will be a big progression for me!
