Roland S-330
What's the word? Has anyone got any good results? I have got the opportunity to get one cheap, it doesn't have the mouse or monitor though... Just the sampler and it's apparently difficult to use interface and RCA (WTF) outputs.

aren't CRT monitors dirt cheap now? people just have them laying around, no? is a special version needed? 12 bit 15kHz, sounds like a proper grit box, are ou impressed with the sound?

Haven't got it yet; that's why I was asking if any else had heard the sound.

I had one, the sound is good in a dirty way, not as crap as SP and it can be clean also on certain sounds with its different sampling rates.
It is enough advanced to achieve your sound.
The filter is really sick, i'd say as famous as the filter of S760. No realtime tweaking. but i did'nt manage sysex at this time, i definitely try if i still had it.
Very good for basses, round sound.
Forget to use it without the mouse & screen. Or you really are a sampler geeek
You must buy it with the sampling disk & the OS disk or you cannot use it, i think i still have some copys of them let me know if you need.
Someone suck this site before it was closed because of "owner rights" and give me it. I reupload it to get infos on the S330 and other gears but don't tell to Roland or Free.fr please. You also could find images of disks here if i remember:
>>S330 site<<
Good sampler but not especially always a joy to use, (menus, assign to keys ) but enough simple and clear BTW.
