EMAX - Output Distorted   Reply with quote

So, I went to load up a beat on my emax and everything was playing back fucked up and distorted.  i loaded another beat same shit, i sampled something new, same shit.  anyone else have this problem before?  If it something simple id rather sort it out myself but otherwise im gonna have to bring this in for service.

any info anyone has would be appreciated!

it might be something you can fix yourself (if this is the problem)
I had a high pitched whine that coming off the HDD (I have the HD SE version of the emax) and before I even knew it was the HDD I was looking around the main board for visual problems, one thing I noticed was ALL the chips weren't seated correctly. cause everyone I pressed down made a satisfying crunch noise! some of the chips might have been the sample memory storage? just a thought anyway.
But if you do press down on them hard, be aware of how much you're bending the board underneath it can't be good for it!

yo thanks for your input.  i have the same version i actually opened it up when this first happened looking for any loose chips.  everything seemed to be in order.  i was going to pull a bunch and reseat them but then i kinda gave up on the idea once i got it open and everything seemed so fragile haha.  i might go back and do that this weekend and see if it helps.
