sp 1200-triggering mpc 2000  Reply with quote  

i know the mpc2000 can successfully trigger an sp1200-through midi- is anyone aware if an sp1200 can trigger an mpc2000 like it can trigger an s-950- if it can could you post some advice on how to do this- i am interested in this type of set-up

yeah you can do that if you assign the notes on the mpc to the same midi value as the pads on the sp.  kind of wierd idea tho.  the 2000 really isnt good as an external sampler(no keygroups, wak cutoff setup, wak filter, no TS, etc).  id say your better off sellin it and coppin an external sampler.  especialy beacuase the mpc2000 sound is... lets say... less than desirable.  theres alot of joints you could get a rack/keys of that would serve this purpose better and sound better.  you would also net a lil bit of loot

hey DFACE - thanks for the help and i'll have to agree with your opinion -
im a big fan of the sp1200's sequencer-
i think its time i pulled my finger out and use my s-950 more- i get lazy with that sampler- time to change some habits

yeah its the kind of sampler once you get down ( and get your kg disk ) you can do things real quick with.  it also has the best lowpass

where can i dl a kg disk from D?

searching for the download will take you more time than doing the disk by yourself.
it aint that hard, try it.
you will love the s950
