s900
Finally got my s900 setup , I am really comfortable on my eps+ and was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to cut samples like the eps+. I am having a hell of a time chopping samples on the 900. On the eps you can copy parameters and save sample time. It allows you to make chops with out wasting sample time. Any one know how to do this on the s900 or have any other chopping techniques. Chopping a 4 bar loop to 16 pads is ALOT of work with out it.
thanks for your time.

im pretty sure you can't do that. the copying feature on the eps is unique to that piece of equipment. as far as i know, you can't do the same type of thing with the s900. i used to rock an eps16+ and a s900 all the time, and i remember the copying/chopping features being completely different. _________________ www.myspace.com/havdeaf www.soundclick.com/xeyeile

yea that seems to be the issue. I just record every chop on its own now. One problem i do have though is after creating say for samples . 1-4 and creating the keygroups 1 threw 4 and setting the key range. The samples play on the correct pad but sound like they are 16 levels. When recording do you change the origional pitch to the corresponding pad it will be played from or do you just leave all the samples the same original pitch.

I just bought an s900 and im rocking an eps classic with some other drum machines and sequencers. Is there anything I should know about using this setup, because it seems like the chopping methods are different between the two machines. Anyone else have this setup and use a specific midi configuration?
