At some point I'm going to hook up my 12 to 1200 but I haven't got to it yet. Do you?

I recently got another SP-1200 and got it hooked up together with the old one in midi.
Need to test it out later when I have time.

Yep, I used 2 together for awhile, and at one point, I tried 3! I had a regular reissue sitting on top of my sp1200 rack. The 20 seconds is great, and the machines work nicely together. I heard DJ Muggs did this back in the day.

Another one of my very favorites, that I rocked for a good minute was sp1200 and the reviled Akai s01. The s01 was my first sampler in the early 90s. It has a great 32khz mono sound and its 8 sample banks are awesome on bank D of the SP. Plus you can plug a mic into the front of it, sweet for adding live percussion (or whatever else) to SP beats. Its more simple than the SP if thats possible, and cheap!

My current combo is sp1200 rack, ASR-10 rack, controlled by MPC60II. Damn thats a lot of disks=)

awww shit, thats nice, i originally thought he had 3 sp 1200īs, he prolly makes his drums with the sp 12 turbo as the sound is even lil more crunchier than the 1200īs

hadent seen that clip before, thanks for the headsup

Which company made these rack versions? I can't read what it says after "1200 SOUND by".
