Would handy to know there is somewhere reliable in the UK. |

Well, its them and a few cats up north as far as I can make out. Cimple were good this time. Fast turnaround and perfectly honest fee. You could see if it works out cheaper to send it to Forat but i highly doubt it. Especially with the weak pound now.

Nah, just the problematic ones but they're the same ones as before. I'm going to take it up with CS. I should be out of warranty by now but I think I can probably get them to have another look as its such a short time ago. _________________ www.myspace.com/djdrinks |

Kind of what I meant.
That's pretty crazy that all the new replacement caps have gone at the same time after what three/four months?
I'm no tech but that doesn't make any sense to me.
Anyone else have any thoughts on this? _________________ "Sh!tty iz pretty" |

i think it could be due the volt of the capacitors... i think the good replacement is 630, maybe they have put 160... but hey this is really out of my head.. it's only an idea take with 2 cents value |

I'm not sure if I'm experiencing the same hiss as you, but my SP-12 emits a more humming sound. It could be a mains problem. I'll try a UPS first, and if that fails, I'll probably recap. |

I emailed EPR Electronics about a couple of things, did you guys know they bought EMU's hardware inventory when they sold it? therefore they bought all the old stock of SP parts.
Anyway they have the Capacitor's that seem to be causing the hiss problem & have added them to the site after my enquiry:

Has anyone replaced them themselves? if so what results have you had? _________________ "Sh!tty iz pretty" |

Sorry,
Are you saying THESE are the dodgy caps? Why would anyone buy them? _________________ www.myspace.com/djdrinks |
