Sp1200+S950

I don't have my sP back from repair yet but I'm curious to know when sampling on the S950 and it asks where you wish to set your sample does it physically state PAD-A1 or D5? How does it look when assigning your samples? I'm just really curious if mapping your samples out on the sP from the S950 is complex or difficult or time consuming in any way?!?

Thanks alot guys

-don't know where else I could find info on this shit]

Peace and Thanks!

when you sample into the 950, there should be something that says "tuning" or "route key" if you have your sp hooked up through midi, you should be able to hit a pad on the sp and have it change the root note to whatever that root note on the sp key is. i always used to create a program, then create a key group for every sample i made under the program window, then set the root key and the high and low of it in the program window

hope that makes sense

ya man definately! Thanks mostly I was curious about if you can just hit a pad on the sp and the S950 would read it and chalk it up.
So first you'd create a program then every sample you put into the S950 is put into that program as seperate keygroupos? So Pad A1 is a keygroup, A2 a keygroup etc. etc. under that program? The whole keygroup thing confuses me a little. Basically is a seperate sample a keygroup? Confused

-Sorry for newbie questions I just want to picture in my mind for a while the process so when I get my sp I can jump into it.

Kinda, you have to create the keygroups yourself, so it won't automatically assign them. I'm not sure if you even need to do that, but its always the way I've done it, it works the easiest for me and lets me tweak with everything alot easier also. But basically you are just creating a single program, then creating keygroups under that program for each sample, then assigning the route note and the sample to that keygroup.

Don't be sorry for the newbie questions, If it wasn't for DFACE lettin me hold down his S900 for awhile, I wouldn't know how to use it at all. Just take some time with it when you get your SP back, I'm sure you'll figure it out pretty quickly. Lemme kno if u need anymore help.

Peace
