SP resolution

Just want to know the ppq resolution of the sp12 / 1200
I searched the manual but cant find the info. I guess its 96ppq

Yes its 96ppq.

Yes.  But Jae is wrong about hi res not having a quantise value.  Its value is 64T.

I didn't mean it had no absolute quantize. It obviously has some limitation. It is 1/64T.

It's simple math that can be tested by playing a basic 1 bar loop. Place a kick on the 1 and 3. Place a snare on the 2 and 4.

Now put the sequence in Hi Res, and go to step edit. Between 1 and 2 there are 24 possible spaces. Between 2 and 3 there are 24 possible spaces. Between 3 and 4 there are 24 possible spaces. Between 4 and back to 1 there are 24 possible spaces.

I am talking about 24 pulses for ever quarter note. That is the max resolution of the machine (hi res).

You'll have 24 possible spots between the kick and snare.
