s950 disk format limitations ?Ok I got a problem with a disk on my s950. I saved a program with some drum samples a few days ago. Now I created another drum program and tried to save it on the same disk but suddenly the 950 freeze.
I know what you think. but no. the disk isn't full. The disk is at 20% and the new program is something like 10%.
Since it freezes I'm not able to press the disk button when the disk is inside but it load all samples when I put the disk inside and turn the 950 on.
I copied all the samples to another disk and get the same result.
So I thought about a limitation on the disk format. Could it be that the disk can only hold a fixed number of samples no matter how much memory is used?
I counted the samples on the disk and its 64 samples. A number thats well known in the "computer scene" (just like 32,128,256 etc)
Does anyone know something about that?

continuing the conversation from mpc forums....
try loading the individual programs onto there own disks instead of trying to load all the programs at once. if everything works fine by itself its some kind of limitation. i kno that i have made a disk with too many programs in the past there is a limit to what you can load at once. it might have been the number of sound files and not the program. im not sure.

Ok thank you for your reply.
I know now that its a limitation of the disk.
A 950 disk can only hold 63 samples.
I test it with a short sample that I copied 70 times and named it from 01 to 70. Then I created 70 keygroups with the 70 samples and tried to save that program on a new disk.
Guess what happened.
The 950 freeze at sample 63 while saving.
