I just coped one of these a few days ago. I've only made a few beats on it, but so far its pretty hot. Any of you ever used one of these? Cause theres one thing I can't figure out. How to assign the outs to samples. It's pissin me off. Gimme some input if u got any.

aight after finally tinkering around alittle bit, i think ive figured out how to assign outs in this bad boy
if you go to edit prog, then go to the keygroup screen, it will bring up all the keygroups you have
if you hit sample sample on the screen function, it will bring up a screen to assign hi-lo velocity, and lets you assign effects to each keygroup
from this screen, hit sample2. this will bring up a screen with all the loudness and the filter lvls, etc. here it lets you assign the outputs under the out command, and also lets you select the playback and such
i dont know of anyone who uses this sampler except me, no one ever seems to respond on mpc forums or anywhere if I post about it. i gotta say tho its a pretty nice piece of equipment, probably my favorite 16-bit sampler that ive messed with to date.
and there you got the first s3000 tip

I use a S3000XL with a Mpc 60 II/Mpc 3000/SP1200. I love it. I paid $50.00 for it with maxed out memory (32 mb). The Waveform editing is tight. chopping samples is pretty effortless. I can truly forget about the mpc2000xl now that i have it. I only sweated that machine for the editing features. I recommend anyone looking for a good rack mount sampler to check into it. It even reads S950/S1000 disks, not to mention I could load S3000XL disks right into my MPC 3000. Hot to Death
