Any one had repairs done to their S950 or know anyone who has? Are parts as extinct as the sp1200? Or is it a simple machine to service?

ive fixed my 900 my 950 and my mans 950. its not hard to get parts.

Thanks for response ! I needed to ask because my repair guy says he won't touch akai for some reason but w/e he's old anyway... the motherfucker did some work on my sp and when I got it back near the disk drive theres a fucking scratch/chip on the sp's corner. WOW was I pissed! but he fixed 4 outputs and didn't charge so I couldnt say anything about it.

-where can a guy get the schematics for the akai s950?

I want to get the memory chips installed in my S950 as well... when you purchase them do they come with instructions how to install? How easy is it to install the memory upgrades?

its real easy. you unscrew the panel on the botton and push teh chips in the holes. there are these lil nuts to slide on which is the hardest part.
