Playing multiple programs on 950?Greetings all,
I recently picked up a lovely s950 to go with my S01 and MPC60 and I'm loving the sound and variable sampling rate more than life itself. I've read the (confusing) manual a few times and have a fair grasp on it all, but I'm trying to find a way to play multiple samples from the 950 without keygrouping. Basically I often make very strange music and enjoy the full level of tuning on my sounds, but can't seem to manage having multiple sounds playing from different midi channels.
Is it a program issue? Or am I going to have to set up keygroups?
Thanks in advance, and I hope this makes sense.

use keygroups to accomplish what you want.

I guess so, it's just a shame that it can't manage it. Perhaps I'll sample into the 950 and then send those samples to the s01...
Convoluted way to work though. Oh well, thanks for you help!

You said u want the full tuning range of each sound right?
OK but you still need keygroups.
You can give each sound the same tuning range but they need to have their own keygroups.
You can then assign a midi number to each keygroup.Use the midi offset page in the EDIT PROGRAM page. Also make sure the machine is set to POLY on the MIDI page.
I dont see why you need the whole range though. You can have instrument only cover a few tunings and still pitch it down on pg6 of the edit program screen (transpose).
Damn I use the 950 too much I'm starting to remember nerd shit,
