pad #1 is glitchy (repeating sounds)

hey all, i'm new to the board and the SP-1200 world (just copped my unit last night).  after playing around with it, i noticed that pad #1 when held down tends to repeat the sample or if i'm hitting it while sequencing it'll sometimes cut off itself with the sample assigned to the pad really quick and glitch like.

anyone experience this?  is this just a "sticky" or dirty pad that i need to clean out?  thanks in advance.
Drinks

More than likely its dirty.  Take it off, clean it with 50-50 isopropyl, and lubricate the contact point with a little silicon.

My pads are smooth  Cool

My hiss is prominent  Sad

oh well, cleaning them didn't work very well.  instead i did the little paper trick after many attempts at trying to decipher the faq.  seems to have worked better although i bent the thin metal contact that triggers the drum pad.   Crying or Very sad

had to bend it back into shape with some pliers and then used less paper.  wish the faq had more detail regarding how to do it.  all good, seems like the response of the pads is greatly improved.
