Noob sp1200 question

Hey
Been an Mpc user for years, going to get my hands on an sp1200...
But ive got one question....is it multi-voltage?? I live in australia....and to get one ill have to get it from the U.S.....we run off 220-240V over here.
Mr Macks

No worries ... it automatically selects voltage. Mine is from US too, I'm in Aust - works fine.

really??? I know gear where you can select voltage but I never heard of something like an "auto selection"

Another way would be a transformator. My s950 is from the US (110V) and I live in germany (230V) but the 950 came with a transformator.

Some SP1200s has a voltage selector on the back, others switch internal automaticly.

(Transformers suck: I think it's bad enough to have to have power cables everywhere)

You think I'm lying ? Mine is early grey model, I just plugged in a ordinary Australian computer lead (I even 'borrowed' it from the IT dept at work, so nothing special at all)and everything works fine. I can't see why they would have changed it for the more recent models.

But yes, I could imagine the S950 is another  kettle of fish altogether. Mine is from the UK so I need to use a adaptor due to a different plug even though it is similar voltage.

And WTF is a transformator ? Jazzy Jeff Meets the autobots ? Just playing - I'm travelling for work and had too many beers from the minibar - peace.

Yup, some switch automatically, some have a flip switch.

You'll be able to see which is which cause its usually clearly labelled!
