Need help replacing sp 12 screenA good friend is asking me to put in a new backlight for his sp 12, and I've never done this before. I've never replaced the backlight/lcd or whatever it is specifically called on any gear.
BUT I am quite competent at soldering & de-soldering.
I have the sp 1200 service manual. Do I need the sp 12 service manual? If so would someone mind sending it my way or putting it on rapidshare? If someone wants the sp1200 service manual just ask and i can post a link in this thread.
Anyone care to take me thru some basic steps, things to look out for/ez errors to make. I don't want to mess up my friends sp 12!!!
any advice is truly appreciated! Once/If i feel competent in doing this I will take pics of how I replaced my friends sp12 screen.
