Midi Sync on the SP1200 (something went wrong)I synced my SP1200 with my MPC2000.
I had a pattern playing on the mpc and a pattern playing on the SP.
mpc midi out to sp midi in
mpc transmitting midi clock and sp assigned to sync midi.
We pressed play on the mpc and both machines started to play but after a few bars the SP would get out of sync. After a few bars it would sync again but then a while after it would be out of sync.
We and my buddy eventhough we be makin' beats for a long time weare new to the SP. Its been just a week or two of having one.
What can possibly be wrong?
When my friend sequenced the sounds of the SP on the mpc some notes would not be heard. It sounded like there were no notes at all but when he recorded the SP, the notes were like velocity 10 instead of 127.
Please help.

when i don't truncate well the samples on the sp i got some problems like yours... somtimes i forget to cut the silence sampled before the sound i played or i haven't cutted the sample in the right point, i don't know if it is your case. maybe the midi cables are too long or you have too many machines linked together via midi

Can you try it the other way around (SP as Master?) to see if its a sync issue with the SP? Not familiar with the MPC.

Sounds like you have the dynamics ON on either machine.
