distorted samples

Hi all,

Just copped a re-ish SP1200, its all nice and clean except, I'm getting some nasty digital distortion on some of my samples.

I'll sample to pads A1 and A2 and they're fine, but the samples on pads 3+4 have all kinds of noise on em plus the infamous hiss at the end. Same with 7 +8. samples loaded form disk all play fine.

ANyone had any similar probs?

thanks SP, I hadn't seen that thread,

Definitely looks like a memory issue

I just did the start up self test and its flagging up a ROM error:
<Snd Mem Error @ OFFFF IC138 Bad?>

I have no idea what this means though - Gonna get in touch with the seller now
