Clicks in OutputHi,
When I assign two sounds to the same channel, and one is palyed at the same time as the other, only the last programmed sound plays, cutting out the other sample on the same channel. That's normal and a great feature of the SP IMO. But I get the first click coming from the next sample (the one which is cut out) and it bleeds into the mix.
Does anyone else experience this? Does adjusting the trim voltage help?
Thanks for your time.

Guess no one here has this problem?

It clicks like it's clipping?
What happens if you delete the first sound out of your sequence?

If i delete the first sound but its still part of the sequence, I get the same cut off click: The second sound is not completely cancelled out. Shit, I thought this was common... another issue with this box methinks...

Sorry, just re-read your reply and you meant delete from sequence. Well if I delete the pad from the sequence, then I'm left with the second sound (as it should be - as per the manual)

I meant what you replied to at first. Doesn't happen to mine at all. Can you post audio?

btw I trimmed the voltage on mine and it helped out with the sound. It changed my dac value to a hex like number instead of 804 but it sounds good so I don't want to touch it right now.

How exactly do you do that? I'm a bit shit with electronics.
You got a step by step procedure for that?
cheers.

I think DFACE posted up the trim procedures somewhere a while back and it' s in the service manual so I won't get too in depth.
I did it by ear which is not the right way to do it but I don't have money for an oscilloscope right now. The first thing I did was set RT1 to 804 and then I went back to trim RT7 which is the voltage and played back a sequence with all the mix levels up and the vol up and just trimmed it to where I thought it sounded good and didn't overdrive the chip. Probably best you see the factory written procedure as well but that's basically it.

I too experience this clipping-clicking with samples- intermittently
anyone else ?
any clues as to what is wrong here- i usually find the sounds hidden by the hats/beat etc but sucks when i drop out the beat..would be nice to know what the issue is?

Rhythm Monster was spot on. Its the voltage trim. Mine was calibrated during my last service.
No more clicks.
