i'ma check this when i get home... on my SP-606 i can layer 3 sounds on 1 pad, but check this when i layer 3 snares at full velocity i get like a 3D type sound like a kareoke type sound, ish don't sound right, i was hopin that it would sound thick... should i have all 3 snares at full velocity or should i have at different levels??? |

i think you should definatly have the snares at different velocity, give it a shot and see how that sounds. ive never used an SP-606 so I have no clue how it works. _________________

If you're using 3 times the same sound, you will get phasing (even twice). Try changing the velocity, tune and quantize slightly. On the SP, it always beefs up a snare to copy it to a different pad, assign it to its own channel and experiement with the tuning. Great on kicks too, especially one going through the filtered out and one unfiltered.
