Hey wondering what you guys think about this machine for a beginner like me. I want that 12 bit sound but dont got the cash for the SP 1200. Ive been trying to read up on it but im having ahard time finding any info. CAn anyone hook me up with some links and what not?

already been there. I was hopin for like a comparison guide to the rest of the mpc's. Im also wondering how well it works with a computer because i plan on using reason with the mpc 60.

you should ditch the computer if yuou want old gear.
use a mpc 1000 or 2500 they plug right in through usb.

not necessarily... record into cubase and use rewire to combine mpc 60 or any piece with reason.

true, but thats not necessarily "working well" with a computer, you could do the same thing with absolutely any audio source. As DFACE said, all old 12-Bit hardware does not "work well" with the computer.

via midi you can sync em up and or sending midi notes same as any hardware. wiht reason id think you wanna transfer sounds without annoying converting, make multiple programs to use for one seq, and do other advanced things.

so whys everyone saying its bad to use the 60 with a comp? And i know this may sound dumb but i was planning on using reason just for sounds and shit, but will i be able to record to pro tools and what not?

if you wanna use it for simple midi functions your fine. look at hte manual for specifics pertaining to what you want to achieve
