Hey 12bit,
did you see the Alan Braxe video from this thread?

http://sp1200.myfastforum.org/about926.html

You could try to get in contact with him and ask him what he used instead the original Pads.
And if he tells you, you could tell it the community here Smile

Linn 9000 buttons?  Reply with quote

Maybe he got some spares Linn 9000 buttons from Forat?

I don't have a 9000, but the ones he's got on the SP seem to match...it looks pretty cool.

try an old Drumulator for parts?  Reply with quote

If you do find a source for those buttons, do let us know.

Meanwhile, if you just need a few, you might harvest them from a Drumulator.  They seem to be the cheapest version of 80's drum machine that used those buttons.

Linns, Oberheim DX/DMX, SP all use that button, but the price for those is always >$300.  Drumulators regularly go on ebay around $100 and if busted maybe $50.  That's $10/button, but better than no source at all?

Oh, the MXR drum computer used them, and they are also ~$100, but turn up very rarely.

I don't think those are the one's he's reffering to.  Might want to just email EPR and ask them.  They'll know.   I ordered some shit from them a few weeks ago and it all came in like a week.   Pretty fast and good service.   Unlike Route 66.  Stay far away from those ass clowns.  You've all been warned regarding those cats.    Don't do it.

I'd be surprised if Forat didn't have any.  Give him a call / email.

One of my black pads is going (#3) - sometimes works, sometimes not ..... I plan just to midi up to my mpc and use that as the trigger when the problem gets worse.. Nicer to use the rubber pads, with better velocity control anyway.
